Legend of the Celtic Cat

The Cat Sìth or Cat Sidhe was believed to be a fairy creature resembles a large black cat with a white spot on its breast. Celtic legend has it that the spectral cat haunts the Scottish Highlands and moors of Ireland. Samhain, a Gaelic festival celebrated halfway between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice, from sunset October 31 to sunset on November 1, marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the “dark-half” of winter.

The Ancients also believed the Cat Sidhe is a guardian and a symbol of change, flexibility and adaptability. Often when a cat makes an uncommon appearance in our lives it is a message for us to make some fresh changes in our lives, as well as be more flexible in our thinking.

Amethyst

The Ancients believed Amethyst to be the “Stone of Spirituality” increasing nobility, spiritual awareness and strength. It aids in healing, renewal, and deep peacefulness.
